Large-format coverage with high-speed galvo scanning.
The HITEC 1390 combines a galvanometer scanning head with motorized gantry movement, giving manufacturers a practical solution for marking large metal workpieces while retaining the speed and detail of galvo scanning.
Available working areas include 2′ × 2′ (24″ × 24″, 600 × 600 mm), 2′ × 3′ (24″ × 36″, 600 × 900 mm), 4.3′ × 3′ (51″ × 35″, 1300 × 900 mm), 4′ × 4′ (47″ × 47″, 1200 × 1200 mm), 4.3′ × 8.2′ (51″ × 98″, 1300 × 2500 mm), with custom configurations available for specific workpieces.
What Is Galvo + Gantry Fiber Laser Marking System?

FAQ
1. What is the difference between a Galvo + Gantry laser and a standard Galvo laser?
A standard Galvo laser is limited by its optical marking field. The Galvo + Gantry system combines high-speed Galvo scanning with motorized XY movement, allowing the laser head to travel across a much larger work area. This makes it suitable for large metal sheets, panels and oversized components while retaining fast local marking.
2. Will there be visible stitching lines on large-format marking?
The Galvo + Gantry architecture is designed to reduce the stitching and repositioning problems associated with trying to process a large workpiece using a conventional fixed-field Galvo system.
However, large-format laser processing should not be described as automatically “zero stitching” for every artwork. Final results depend on the marking field, mechanical accuracy, artwork layout, calibration and application.
3. Why combine Galvo scanning with a Gantry?
The two systems perform different jobs:
Galvo → fast local laser scanning
Gantry → large-area positioning
This hybrid architecture allows the machine to combine high-speed marking with extended working coverage, particularly when a large plate contains many logos, serial numbers, QR codes or detailed graphics.
4. Can it perform deep engraving on stainless steel?
Yes. Higher-power fiber laser configurations can be used for deep engraving on stainless steel and other metals. The achievable depth and production speed depend on laser power, material, focal configuration, scanning parameters and the required cycle time.
5. Is the machine fully enclosed and CE compliant?
The machine can be supplied in a fully enclosed configuration, with the enclosure designed to provide a controlled laser-processing environment.
For a specific CE requirement, the exact machine configuration and applicable documentation should be confirmed with HITEC before shipment rather than treating “CE” as a generic feature. Enclosed fiber marking systems commonly use safety interlocks and other protective features to prevent operation when the enclosure is open
